Life is a piece of cake…

I made another piece of cake box!  I am loving these boxes, they are just so pretty.  Kim from The Cutting Garden asked me to make one for her store, and she gave me all the supplies to use.  I just love the glittery paper, it’s from Doodle Bug!  What can I say, I love BLING!  All product used on this project can be found at Kim’s store.

The next card is also for Kim’s store.  She liked an owl card I had made previously, and asked if I would mind making one for her.  The inside of the card was fun to do!  I used my Silhouette to cut out the tree branch, leaves, and words.  I am finally using all my pieces on cards!  I have to say I have had a blast learning how to use this machine!  Now to use it all the time is another matter! lol

I was away last week as we were getting new flooring in our place.  I had made these before I left, but I couldn’t get to my camera to take pics!  I have lots more to share over the next few days.  Thank you so much for stopping by.

Oh no, not another pair of shoes?

I really do make many other things!  But, I keep getting asked to make Baby Shoes!  I am going to be making cards for another local store called The Cutting Garden, and this is the first thing I was asked to make.  I will write more about The Cutting Garden this afternoon!

The flourishes used on the card and shoes are from Quietfire Design.  The dots on the inside of the shoes are done with the Polka Dots background from SU.  Sweet Pea is from Paperbag Studios.  Baby is from Cornish Heritage Farms.  I used Basic Grey Paper and tons of Distress Inks.

Thank you for stopping by today, I really appreciate you including me in your day!

Dimensional Card Swap

This months challenge for our group of ladies was to make a dimensional card.  I have been playing so much with my Silhouette, and decided to use a butterfly from Quickutz to make this card.  I cut out the 2 parts of the butterfly, put them together, then added stickles to parts.  It is then layered on a card that I used a Inkadinkado flourish stamp on with coffee bean Vivid Ink, as well as the sentiment, from Impression Obsession.

Live the Life you’ve Imagined

Good Morning,

Last night I was playing around in my stamp room and decided to pull out my alcohol inks and new Tim Holtz stamps.  I had forgotten how much fun it is to play with the alcohol inks!

Here are the results of playtime! lol

Sweet Summer Days

Well, I don’t know about you, but I am really looking forward to summer.  Even though I am not a big fan of the heat, I love spending the evenings outside, walking downtown on the boardwalk, the outside entertainment, the music….ahhhh…and BBQ’s!

I decided to get the summer theme going and created 2 cards using Impression Obsession stamps.

Now doesn’t this watermelon drink look delicious?  Yummm!  I used Copic Markers to colour the image, cut out a couple of the hearts, and popped them up on glue dots.  I used the Spica glitter pen on the umbrella, and added Basic Grey rhinestones for the little berries.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

One of my favorite summer fruits is Strawberries.  I used a bigger stamp and cut out 3 strawberries.  Coloured them with Copic markers and then put Glossy Accents on them to make them look more real.  When that was dry I put more Glossy Accents on the bottoms of the strawberries and dipped them in glitter, trying to achieve the look of sugar, it looks better in person! lol  I can’t take any credit for the card though, as I saw it on Penny’s blog and pretty much cased it, of course with a few little changes.  Thank you for the inspiration Penny.

I hope you are all having a wonderful day, and thank you for stopping by!

Wow, it’s been awhile!

I can’t believe it’s been that long since I last posted!  I am not even going to make any excuses, I just took a little break from stamping, my muse took off on my for a while.  Anyway, I am back now.

This is the birthday card I made for my great friend Val!  It was Val’s party this evening, I stopped out long enough to say Happy Birthday and give her this card! lol…I am not much into crowds, I get right freaked out!

The main image is from Stampsmith.  Marilyn is stamped with Ancient Page Chocolate Brown, then coloured in using a water colouring brush and tombow markers.  I then used Tim Holtz Distress inks to make it look older.  The beautiful flourish is from Inkadinkado.  The sentiment is from SU.  The crochet flower is from April, who is making them for me!  They are just adorable, thank you April!  Pearls are from Kaiser Craft.

Live, Laugh, Love

Good Morning,

I have had this image stamped and coloured for a couple weeks, but I couldn’t decide what to do with it until late last night!  I found this beautiful background paper at M’s a few weeks ago, and decided it was time to cut into it!  I didn’t want to cover it up too much, and look, NO distressing! lol  I mounted the Audrey stamp (from The Stampsmith) with pink Bazzill Bling and light brown  Bazzill, then layered that all onto the background paper.  I then used my new die cut from Quickutz (Flourish), one in brown, one in pink, then added those, and put on some lovely little crocheted flowers!  I actually traded some stamping supplies that I was selling, for the crocheted flowers!  I love the barter system!  I then stamped the saying, Live, Laugh, Love from Inkadinkado twice with Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink.  This was all layered on pink Bazzill bling paper, then the light brown again.

The Stampsmith photo stamped image was stamped with Ancient Page Chocolate brown, the very lightly coloured in with Tombows and a water colour paint brush.  I wanted to keep it light.  Isn’t Audrey just beautiful?

It is a beautiful morning here in Halifax!  The sun is shining, and the birds are singing.  I think I may just spend the day stamping with all the windows open!  Sunshine always makes the day!

Enjoy your day!
