I have a few new things to share with you today as well as some great news!
Firstly, I wanted to apologize for not posting for a bit there. I had surgery on December 22, and it’s taken me awhile longer than expected to recover. All is going well now, and I am hoping to get back to work soon. Last year towards the end of the year, I decided that I wanted to go back to school, or at least take a course. So, I have enrolled and am taking a Medical Transcription course! I am so excited, as I love to learn, and the challenge is wonderful for me.
Then earlier in January, I was asked to be on a design team for a wonderful stamp company! Have you heard of Stampotique? Well, if you haven’t, you should head on over there! They have awesome stamps, and I can’t wait to show you at least one project tonight. Tomorrow is the launch of the Stampotique Designers Challenge Blog, so there will be another card tomorrow. I will post the link to the challenge blog late this evening. I sure hope that you will check it out and play along with us! There will be tons of inspiration, you should check out who is on the design team!!! Woohoo, I am so lucky to be working and creating with these very talented ladies!
A couple weeks ago, I got my mail, and I had forgotten about a couple cards being published in the Spring 2010 issue of Paper Creations! I was so excited to see the magazine and quickly turned the pages to find my cards. Imagine my surprise when I looked and each card has it’s own page!! YEAH!! I don’t think you ever get used to seeing your cards in a magazine, it’s a wonderful feeling!
Whew…I think that’s it for news! Now, onto a few projects!
My friend Val and I decided to do canvases for our stamping girls get together. We made one each for a sample, then had fun making another on stamp night! We got the idea from the Hero Arts Blog, I don’t know exactly where it is, but I will link to it later when I have time to look. Here are the pictures of them:
This is the sample I made. I like the one below better. It’s the one I did on stamp night.
Then I found a Christmas card that I had forgotten to take pictures of. Actually I don’t think I took any pictures of the cards I made this Christmas. Will have to ask a few friends to take pics for me! lol
I know you can’t see all the sparkle on this card, but there are tons of stickles and the paper is from Bo Bunny, and has so much sparkle on it as well. The main image is from Crafty Indviduals, I just adore their stamps.
Well, I must run and do a few things in town. Have a wonderful day everyone, and I will see you back here tonight!
:)
