This week’s challenge on the Stampotique Designers Challenge blog is to create something you wouldn’t normally do. Challenge yourself to try something new. I decided to alter a wooden box. I cut and glued patterned paper onto the box. I distressed it a bit once it was all put together, using distress inks. I then stamped Frida, from Stampotique Originals, onto a piece of paper and distressed it a bit as well. I used the new Tim Holtz tattered flowers die to make the flower, and sewed a piece of lace to make a flower for underneath. The feet and all other metal findings are Tim Holtz.
We would love it if you have time to play in our challenge this week! You can find the details here. It is Stampotique only stamps this time. The next challenge will be open themed.
Thank you for stopping by tonight!

Such a beautiful box! Nothing could be more lovely than to keep one's personal treasures safe inside!
So pretty love those legs you've added perfect to sit on a dresser
Kim, This is just lovely! I've altered a few wooden boxes in the past - they're so much fun to decorate. You did such a great job on this, I love the patterned paper that you chose and your flower is gorgeous! The metal hardware finishes it off so nicely! Beautifully done! :)
Have a great day and I'll chat with ya soon! :)
Hugs,
Julie
