I'm Back & Blog Bling

Sorry, Blog Bling contest is now closed! Thank you to everyone who particpated!
Morning Everyone!

It sure is nice to be back home again! We actually got home last Thursday, but I got some kind of infection in my left eye, that spread into the nerves on the left side of my face, and I wasn't able to do much of anything. I have been going to the hospital every day for iv antibiotics and the swelling has gone down considerably, and I am starting to feel better, so I am hoping to do some stamping! I don't go back to work now til Monday so I have a few days to play!

We had a wonderful Christmas and I hope you all did as well. Happy New Year to everyone!! My husband spoiled me as usual, and he gave me an iPod Nano, and a portable light studio for taking pictures of my cards! He gave me a bunch of other things as well, but those 2 are my favorites!

Did you get something really special for Christmas? Tell me about it! If you leave a comment on this post, telling me about your favorite Christmas gift this year, I will do a draw on Sunday night (Jan. 13th) and send out some Blog Bling to one lucky person! Here is what the winner will receive in the mail from me:

1 - Basic Grey Acrylic Stamp Set - Santa Baby
1 - Hero Arts Acrylic Stamp Set - Letter C ( Big Letter C, create, swirls, flower..etc.)
1 - Package of Karen Foster Wood Signs - Santa
2 - Packages of Hero Arts Gemstones - Snowflakes
1 - Sentiment Box for you to do from Melissa Francis - Love Potion
1 - Package of Metal Index Tabs from Making Memories

Good Luck everyone, and it's great to be back!!!
:)

Glad to hear that you are feeling better, hope that things heal up really fast for you :)! I am glad that you had a great Christmas :)!
As for my favorite Christmas gift, it would have to be my gift cards to American Eagle store. I needed new jeans, because I have lots a little bit of weight and my other one's hang off of me. As for my favorite crafty gift, it would be my hot knife and my craft bag that my dh got me. By the way hurry over to my blog, I have mystery blog candy up for grabs :)!

Welcome back! My best gift was a housekeeper every other week! My husband's idea - not mine! He spoils me also. We have been married 43 years and I'm retired and really feel guilty about having someone clean when I'm home all the time - but if he wants to pay I'm game! He also cooks - so all of this gives me time to stamp and shop for stamps and bling! It's a wonderful life!

Hi Kim. Welcome back. My sister knitted me a scarf for Christmas. It's really colorful and soft. I love it.

I like your blog. My husband surprised me with an easel, paint and brushes. I've always wanted to take up painting, but had never wanted to spend the money.

Wow! Kim....glad to hear that you are on the mend...how awful that all of that happened during the holiday season. I'm also glad that you had a fabulous Christmas.

My christmas was difficult this year...and what others would consider a gift was not anywhere to be had this year. What I did get was truly the best gift though. My DH was in an accident 4 days before Christmas and totaled his car. I was given the gift of his life....the damages were astronomical and I was so blessed that his injuries were only minor in comparison. That was my best gift for the rest of my life.

I really like my ping-pong table...it's gives something for DH and I to do (besides flake in front of the TV) since we have preschoolers and lots o' snow most of the winter! Cheers!

We are the lame Christmas family - I tell my DH not to get me anything, and I do the same for him. Then we each get something special we really want for our hobbies since both of ours are so expensive (he does model railroading). I have such a stash these days, so I spread my "extras" out to get some stamps I've been eyeing from several companies (Purple Onion Designs, Firecracker Designs by Pamela, CC Designs, TAC) and I also got both sets of shimmer chalks I've been wanting and a bunch of Opalite reinkers for various techniques. My parents live far away so they also send money. :) Work for me though! My dad tells me that it's a gift certificate to anywhere in the world, LOL.

My favoarite gift was a full size Tonic paper trimmer. It's like slicing through butter and it's so accurate. I mean cutting paper is so basic to what we do, I urge everyone to get one!

Wow that infection does not sound very good. I hope you are feeling better by Monday when you have to go back to work. There are some strange viruses out there this year. Glad you will be able to play soon.
My favorite Christmas present this year was an alien ipod holder that you plug into your ipod and it plays through the speakers which are in the antennaes of the alien. I laughed so hard. It is always good to have a nice hardy laugh.
Thanks for sharing.

Sorry to hear about the infection, sounds very INCONVENIENT! With the swelling, driving to the hospitol must be a challenge. Glad to hear you are feeling better by now! :-)
My favorite Christmas gift is the family picture I got taken at christmas. This is the first christmas in 10 years that all four of my kids got together. And I have a four month old grandbaby in the picture!!! If this isn't the kind of gift you had in mind, I guess my next choice would be my Sizzix Big Kick! LOVE IT!!!
Thanks for the chance!

I guess my favourite gift would have been to be some stamps and patterned paper that I got.

Thanks for your generosity and for the chance to play along in some blog bling fun! :)

Sorry to hear about your eye. It sounds painful. I hope you are on your way to recovery!! I got a Cricut Cartridge!! I love it and I'm so happy to have it, as I will not be spending any money on crafts this year so I'll be able to donate $1000 to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.
Thanks!

I'm sorry about your eye - must have made you feel very miserable!
My fav pressie was 3 bottles of glimmer mist - I just love these sparkly sprays, and use them to add sort of shiny bling to my stamping (and even spray pp with them).

My family doesn't really know anything about scrapbooking, so they gave me money. I already bought a box of high pigment colour pencils and some stamps.

My daughter gave me a sweet carousel from Making Memories that sits on my desk... It spins and has all kinds of little compartments to stuff things into. Great addition to my desk.

Tks for the chance of winning blog candy.

Cheers!

Glad you are back and feeling better. It's no fun to be sick at any time but certainly not on a holiday. For my favorite gift it was the best and the worst at the same time. My granddaughter came over and spent a long time showing me how to do stuff on the computer. It was the worst because I hate the little ones just sitting down and zooming away on this machine. I heard " oh, that's so easy" so many times.

Other than that infection, it sounds like your Christmas was VERY merry:) I got some nice gifts too. My favorite was money from my mom because I got to purchase 2 Cricut cartridges that I have been wanting.

Welcome back! My favorite "gift" was my little brother returning safely home from Iraq. It seemed like sucha surreal nightmare that my baby brother would be in harm's way. It was great for all of us to be together again!

Just found your blog last night and I love it all. I would have to say that card making supplies were my favorite gifts. Didn't get the bend-it, so I guess I'll have to buy it as a gift for myself. Wishing you a happy year. MaryAnn

Hope you are feeling better soon and thanks for the bling!!! My DH and I decided not to buy any gifts this year, money is really tight. I did get some $$$ from my Mom & Dad but I'm saving it for a special occasion (car insurance). So maybe I'll win some bling, so I will have something new to play with. Thanks

It's good to know that better health has been set up for your 2008! My DH and I did not buy gifts for each other this year due to our upcoming trip to Cancun in February. I did get a Cuttlebug from my MIL, but haven't had the chance to use it yet (hopefully, this weekend!). Thanks for the chance to win some great blog bling!

Good to have you back to normal - well, ok, as normal as we can be! ;) It has been another 'techie' Christmas with lots of phone accessories and computer components - all of which I love, but my absolutely favorite gift was definitely my new DVD player for my craft room! It plays every type of movie file out there! Right now, I'm re-watching all 8 seasons of Smallville while I craft away. It's not too distracting because I have seen most of them already, but it's nice to finally see them all in the proper sequence! :)
Hugs as always,
Val

Kim, I'm so sorry you've had to deal with such an infection. I hope all is well and you are on the mend! My best Christmas gift, finding out that both of my parents are cancer free (my dad had colon cancer and my mom had 2 separate mastectomies earlier this year)! Couldn't ask for anything better than that! Although, my dh did get me a command start for my car - I guess I hollered long and loud enough that he got tired of hearing me whine ... lol!
