Why haven't I been online?

Well, it's been awhile now hasn't it?

I am sorry that I neglected my blog for a couple weeks there. I decided to surprise my husband and bring his youngest daughter out to Halifax for his birthday! I think this is the first time in the 8 years we have been together that I actually pulled one over on him! It was hilarious! I snuck out of the house when he was sleeping and picked his daughter up at the airport. We got back home and she decided to jump on the bed to wake him....well, he sure was woken, but he was wondering what the HECK I was doing jumping on the bed....he cursed a bit, then rubbed his eyes and realized it wasn't ME jumping on the bed! He got up for a couple hours and visited, got up in the morning and told the guys he wasn't coming into work, he took some vacation days!

We went deep sea fishing in Lunenburg, and had a blast! I have some pics to share with you, but the ones hubby took didn't turn out, they were all white? Anyway, we caught Mackeral, Cod and we saw adorable seals, and a SHARK tried stealing a cod off my line!!!! One of the young fella's on the boat actually hooked him for about 10 minutes, then the shark got away! He really was beautiful, he was a Blue Shark, and about 7 ft. long. Closest I have ever seen a shark, we could have touched him he was that close! Of course I got sun burnt, but it was WORTH IT! lol

We did some shopping, and headed to the Bay of Fundy, but the tide was high and we couldn't walk in the mud...lol...went to Evangaline Beach and that was beautiful. We also just spent some great quality time together, and I did have to work a few days, so hubby and daughter had some quiet time to themselves as well.

One of the girls at my work is a photographer and took a few pics of Peter and his daughter for us! I will also share a few of those!Anyway, it took us the weekend to get used to his daughter not being here anymore. It was a fantastic visit, and we both miss her terribly. Yesterday was the first day I got a chance to get back into my happy room, I will post some pics as soon as I can of what I have been working on.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Blogger is not co-operating with me today! It won't let me load the pics and put them where I want them! Anyway, above is the town of Lunenburg, it's a very tiny town in Nova Scotia. If you click on the pic to make it bigger, you will see all of downtown. It's a beautiful place to go and be tourist, do some shopping, and eat lunch over looking the ocean.

The 2 pictures above were taken by Kate, a friend from work. This is my wonderful husband and his beautiful daughter!

The picture below is of the natural caves along one of the National Parks. If you click on the picture to see it bigger, you can see the people on the stairs. The stairs did go down further, but the ocean tides and waves eventually wiped them out. They say that alot of people use their kayaks to go into the caves. I for one wasn't even thinking about that! lol...Who knows what creepy things are in there! lol

This is the Deckhand of the boat we were on. He either cleaned the fish for you, or he filleted them. He did a great job, and I can't wait to go again!

If you click on this picture to see it bigger, you will see a seal. They were so playful and performing for us, but I was never fast enough with my camera!!

Have you seen the movie The Birds by Alfred Hitchcook? Well, all the birds following us were creeping me out a bit. I couldn't resist, had to take a picture! The reason they were following is because the fish were being cleaned and filleted, so they were getting the leftovers.

Ohhh, you're making me homesick. I LOVE Lunenburg! I didn't realize there were sharks close by. What a blast you must have had. Such a wonderful surprise for your husband!
