More Stamps to give away!

Afternoon Ladies!!

When I had my blog giveaway a few weeks back, I drew 20 names, but 4 of the people never came back to give me their mailing information. So I have added those stamps plus a few others back into another giveaway! Some of the stamps are used, and some are new, but they are all unmounted to save on mailing charges! I also have some Prima flowers that I will add to the draw!

So this time I want to ask you a different question! If you could change just ONE thing about yourself, what would it be?

If you would like to take part in this draw, please leave a comment and answer the question above! lol I will draw 10 names on Wednesday Jan. 31st, and post the winners names at that time! So please remember to come back and see if you have won or not! lol

I can't wait to read everyone's answers! lol
Good Luck everyone!
:)

Hi Kim: In answer to your question, I suppose I could be vain and say I would like to change my hair, get rid of wrinkles, or have skinny legs. However, since having Lupus I wish that I could have my energy/health back. Does that count as two things? LOL! It doesn't really matter what you look like, because it's who you are inside that counts the most, but health is extremely important. Sharon G.

One thing I would change about myself?
That's an easy one........PATIENCE. I have none...well, very little and sometimes I find myself snapping at the kids/hubby/dog when they really don't deserve it. This also causes me to have ADD-like symptoms (according to my hubby) such as a short attention span, many unfinished projects,etc,etc...VERY frustrating at times! I often feel like I don't get anything done cause I can't sit still long enough to finish it, or let the paint/glue/ink dry.

Well, the physical things are too many to even think about but if I could change one thing about the ME that is me ... I would get rid of my sarcastic nature (like that's gonna happen) Robin

OK I will play if I could change just one thing about me what would it be. That is a tough one as am generally pretty happy but I guess it would have to being so hard on me and expecting so much of myself when it is by others. The doing the even better syndrome I am a very hard critic on me not others just me.

The one thing I wished I could change is how sensitive I am. Some people say I can be very emotional. It doesn't take much for someone to hurt my feelings, whether it be intentional or not. Over the years, I have developed a much tougher shell. This is a tough one to change, since a big part of this is genes. Carol H. AKA cahinton

If I could change one thing about myself......... That's acutally a pretty easy question for me, I'd love to have more energy!!! I never seem to have enough, enough for myself, enough to deal with my chronic pain, enough to give to my kids and keep up with their enormous and unending supply, enough to get everything done that I want and need to in life! Hi Kim,
Man, this is tough.... (but at least we're not counting things again!) I too, could be vain and say get rid of physical things, but I won't. I would have to say the main thing I would change about myself would have to not be so negative. I tend to always think the worst. Bad trait, and it totally irritates DH, and girls!

If I could change one thing about myself it would be to stop being a perfectionist. It comes through in everything I do and I extend the perfection to my hubby, kids, friends, etc... and though everyone is very loving and patient with my perfectionism it is definitely the one thing I would change. Its very debilitating to myself and those around me I'm sure.

You seriously mean I can only change one thing? HUMMM...I would stop cursing so much. The "F" bombs fly out wwwaaaayyyy to often!

Good question and thanks for not having us count anything else! I'm still gonna kick your "f'n" butt! HEE HEE.

If there was one thing that I could change about myself it would be to not require so much sleep. I know several people who can function on just a few hours of sleep. Not me!! I have to have at least 8 hours of sleep daily. If I get less then I can't think clearly and feel just plain yucky! Can you imagine how productive I could be with my stamping if I only needed 5 ot 6 hours of sleep each night!!!! Thanks for sharing your stamps Kim!

Only one thing, huh? Well it would probably be my weight ... I'd like to weigh {a lot} less. ouch.

hi there
in answering your question, alot of thoughts go through my mind. i believe that the one major thing i wish i could change is to be more outgoing. this encompasses to be able to make friends easier. there is a whole world out there that is totally scary. people are so busy in there own world that it takes time to nuture a friendship. being more outgoing would lessen the fear.

Anonymous said...

I had a friend just tell me about 2 weeks ago that I let people take advantage of me .I took it as a complement .I am very easy going and don't like to have confrontations so I think that is where it comes from. I do admire the person who told me for I do see them Putting people in their place .I don't think it would be the same for me doing it but I would love to have a more even balance and I have been working on that and I do see some results

I got my stamps and I have a card of thanks going out tomorrow
thanks Peggy Dannel

I guess if I could change one thing about me, it would be too have my health back & sleep through the night. LOL. Since having multiple health issues sleeping is one thing I can't do for very long. It would be so nice to sleep in until even 8 am. Since that's not likely to happen then I guess I would say to change always having to be right. (so my son says). Sad thing is at 21 he's so like me and wants to be right too. LOL

The biggest thing that I would like to change about myself is my temper. It's gotten better over the years but it still gets the best of me sometimes.

Hiya! Just one thing? Hmmm. To stop being a procrastinator! Ack! I try hard, but then time slips away. I know I need to be more disciplined with the way I use my time, too. Cheers!

your work is just awsome... your question really made me think. I am blessed with a terrific husband and a wonderful son. The one thing I would change is to find forgivness in my heart for the woman who raised me and did not love me. I would like to be able to let go of all the hurt feelings. thanks for your blog i love your creativity.

One thing I'd change.......
it has to be my negativity about myself....I'd love to be more upbeat and not put myself down so much but I think its more a defence mechanism thats become a habit.

Heya Kimmy... the one thing I should do more is take time to clean up after myself. I just flit from one project to another and then look around at the tornado-like distructions I've left behind! :) Maybe someday I'll be neater - but I think that day is far in the future! :) I enjoy life too much to stop and do boring clean up!! *giggles*

Great question Kim, and love that I'm not counting something! I think if I could change anything, it would have to be taking better care of myself, when I was younger. Didn't realize how much work it was getting old, and if I had taken better care of myself, I might have handled all the "perks" of aging, with just a bit more grace and dignity....nah probably not!!!! I also wish I had more patience, I always believed I was a pretty relaxed and patient person but 3 boys under 4 has proven to be more trying than my supposed even-keeled nature can handle at times.

Hi,
This is actually a tough one. I am sure everyone would say different things like, looks, $, personality.

Not to sound vain, but I am happy on who I am and who I have become. I have had such strong guidance with my family in my life that I appreciate and accept myself for who I am and who I have become not what I have or what I look like.

I completely agree with Sharon G. looks mean nothing but health is extremely important.

If I could change something about myself then I would lower my standard of expectation from myself and others around me! I have come a long way though already.
Thank you Kim for your wonderful offer, I missed the first round!

Only change one thing about myself? Just one? Well, I suppose it would be my self control - or lack of. It creeps into so many areas - budgeting, organization, work, eating.... ehh it's just no fun!

Hmm...I don't want to be shallow and say my weight...I am not that overweight but I do have the post-pregnancy pooch that I should work on. (I know that if I put my mind to it, I would be able to do something about it!)

I think I would like my 14 month old daughter to sleep through the night...even just once. Maybe then I could get some real sleep and she would not be near so cranky all day. I know this isn't something about me but it is draining right now that it is all I think about! Thanks for the contest!

I would have to say I wish I was more organized. I am always 15 minutes behind and 2 days late. I find it esier to stamp, cook or whatever when things are organized but I find myself just chucking things back in any available space. I also then would be more organized for deadlines and classes. Other than that I'm perfect just ask my husband. (insert rollie eyes)

At first I was going to say weight, but then I realized FAR more important than physical appearances is GOOD HEALTH - which I seem to rarely have for more than a few days at once! So I'll go with 'good health' as the one thing I'd most like to change about myself!

One thing I would change........I'd like to have a better memory! Health issues challenge me with foggy days and I'd like to be able to recall things I'd seen and ideas I had more easily. That's all.

Hi Kim,
This is a tough question. I suppose my first thought would be to have perfect health. Being disabled and close to death a few times now is getting a bit old lol.
Good health would be lovely. Another thing would be for me to achieve and maintain a proper body weight. I've struggled all my life with my weight. Sooooo to decide. Hmmmm I think the health would be the first thing I'd like to change. The rest could follow, right? hehehe
I hope who ever wins will enjoy their prizes.
By the way, I like your blog. It's very informative. Thanks for putting forth the effort to create it.
Take care,

Hi Kim: LOVE your blog!
Answer to your question: Try not to be as ittitable as I am at the present time. BUT, I still can't stop grieving my mom [1yr. Xmas], so I passed on some stamps she liked me to use for cards. Health issues don't help [i.e. meds.!!] I"m trying to accept the things I cannot change, but change the ones I can. Have a great week & I'll check for my name [after physio] SUE MacDON

Hi Kim
Just want to say......I love your work. Your sense of style and colour is so inspiring.

Change one thing about myself....that's easy......to stop making like a doormat and grow some backbone to stand up to the people that wipe their feet on me.
Simmering rages are so bad for your health and I would dearly love to ba able to ask people what makes them think they are so much better than me to be able to treat me how they do.
How pathetic is that?

Hi Kim,

Love your blog! You do such gorgeous work, I love to peek in and see what your lastest creations are! Thanks for sharing with us all!

Let me see, one thing I would change about myself, would be for me to stop being a procrastinator all the time. When I do something, I put my all in to it, but I normally wait until the last minute to get it done! I'm better than I used to be, but still a long way to go...

What would I change about myself? Being ADHD, I would LOVE to keep the creative side of me, and get rid of all the bad stuff of ADHD!! Like memory lapses (or is it loss), being obnoxious at times, being unaware of the little social signals that most people take for granted.

Hi Kim the one thing I would change about myself is not to have so many projects on the go. To be able to get something finished before starting another so the build up the 'major things to do list' doesn't get so overwhelming.

Anonymous said...

Kim you mean other than weight, body shape, looks right? I would have to change the number of projects I have on the go at one time. I have about 20 at different stages of being finished, if I could limit it to 6 I would have so much more time to stamp/ card making.

I wish that I took better care of my feet when I was younger (and im not even that old yet)... but they are starting to become bunion-ish. So if there was one thing I could change? Have my feet go back to normal.

Saw your comment on CST and glad I came over to see your beautiful cards AND enter your contest.

One thing I would change about myself....to finally be able to think of 'me' for a change. After 20 years of focusing on being a wife to a husband who works out of town all the time and a mom to three kids who are moved out or are on the cusp of moving out, it's a perfect opportunity for me to think of 'me' for a change. But now I sit here and can't think of a darn thing 'me' would be interested in doing because it's always been about a husband and kids. Such dilemma's in life :o) Great question!

Hi Kim, The one thing I would like to change about myself at the moment is to lose weight and maintain a walking program..which I am working on. Hoping that as I succeed I will have more energy..have less stress on my knees and eliminate this pre diabetic state I'me at.
Have a Great Day!

Hi Kim,

HI Kim...thanks for the chance to play. Love the cards.

The one thing I would like to change is the way I hold on... I hold on to bad memories, fears, insecurities, fights, ...I want to be able to let go. Be free. Save all my energy for my DH and kids instead of wallowing. I am working on it...I can do it.

Easy - not to have Multiple Sclerosis but thats not going to happen sooooo back to reality.
Be tidier in my craft space (and every where else if I'm honest) I'm sure I'd get more done but then again I'd burn all my energy tidying which takes us back to the MS. Oh I dunno you choose which LOL!

Well, let's see, in terms of physical changes . . . my tummy! No matter how much I work out, I have always had that tummy. Must have been born in the wrong era, I guess? LOL I also wish that I could learn to not feel like I have to be running in twenty different directions all the time and just learn to veg out in front of the TV like DH and DS . . . hummm.

inkyonne said...

Wow!! This is a good question. Of course I would love to trim some weight off~ LOL!
But on a more serious note I wish I had the ability to focus better. I have to read things over and over and I still manage to forget things.

Anonymous said...

Ugh, Kim, this is a no-brainer. I imagine not everyone will read the answers because there are lots of comments, therefore I am comfortable saying, I wish I could change the fact that I am bi-polar. It's a disease that afflict so many, and is such a "secret." I am only becoming comfortable with standing up for mental health awareness.

Anonymous said...

WOw Just change one thing....I would change my personality....People take me as being so serious and uptight, secure, and on top of everything...and that tends to intimidate them, yet...I am totally the opposite...I'm so insecure and have to work very hard to make things look easy...so I would change my personality to make me more outgoing and fun loving

I would say my health for sure. Seems the rest would just fall in line with good health..weight loss, energy, etc.
